Natural Hair Masks

If your hair needs that extra boost to restore its natural fullness and vitality, try these natural remedies and see which works best for your dry hair:

1. Avocado
Avocado is highly recommended because it is one of nature’s perfect foods. It is rich with oils and proteins that can smoothen your hair. Simply mash an avocado and add a few drops of peppermint oil. To do this, wash your hair first, squeeze out excess water and apply mask. Let it sit for 15 to 30 minutes and then rinse as usual. This will leave your hair feeling soft and smooth instead of flat and greasy.

2. Coconut oil
Coconut oil has been very popular because it penetrates deeply into your hair shaft. Take a tablespoon of coconut oil and apply it to the ends of your hair. For extra-nourished tresses, leave the oil overnight and shampoo it all out in the morning.

3. Banana and olive oil
Simply mix a banana with a tablespoon of olive oil and mash them thoroughly until the banana has a smoothie-like texture. Massage this mixture on your scalp and hair and leave for 30 minutes. After rinsing and shampooing, your hair will be noticeably shinier and softer.

4. Cocoa powder
If your hair has lost its luster and badly needs a color boost, make yourself a mixture of cocoa powder, yogurt, honey and apple cider vinegar. This will result in a deeper and a richer brown tint on your hair.

5. Lemon and chamomile
For blondes, lemon and chamomile is what you need to get an extra color boost. Mix lemon juice and chamomile tea and use this mixture as a rinse. Let your mixture cool a bit and pour it over your hair. Leave it for a couple of minutes and rinse thoroughly.
